We are Wargamers
4August 6, 2020 by Lee
First of all, we hope that everyone is doing well in these strange times we find ourselves at the moment.
Todays post is something a little bit different and not our normal talking about projects or showing games that we have recently played. So, what is different? We were nominated by members of the Youtube wargaming community to take part in a round robin, to answer a few questions about us and our channel. The criteria was simple, answer 4 questions and then nominate 3 other channels.
This was something that I had been thinking of doing for some time now and its like most things, “I’ll do that when I get time”. Well, like most of us it either gets forgotten or it keeps getting put back.
So, once we were nominated I thought that their is no time like the present and I spoke with Mel and Jamie and asked them how should we do it. The questions I asked Mel and Jamie were as follows:
- Should we all do this together and answer the questions?
- Should we script the response?
The reply to question 1 was that we should all to the video together and share our experiences and the answer to question 2 was No, it should be like all our videos and that is RAW and unscripted.
With that in mind, below is our video response to the I am a Wargamer Youtube community questions and we hope it gives you a little insight into our journey in the hobby.
We hope you enjoy the video.
We would like to nominate here Jonathan Jones president of the Devon Wargames Group and blog owner of JJ’s Wargames blog, as we would be very interested to hear his journey in the hobby and setting up his Youtube channel.
We hope you have enjoyed this post and as ever, please feel free to follow our blog andย Youtube Channel,ย like, shareย andย commentย and as always, happy wargaming.
This was a great video!
Always nice to see how other people got into (and stayed in) the hobby.
Cheers

A thoroughly enjoyable blog – I particularly enjoyed seeing your ECW battle on YouTube. Your figures look fantastic.
Can you tell me what size the table you are using is…?
Cheers

Hi JP, thanks for enjoying reading and watching our videos, we really appreciate it ๐๐
The size of table used in the video for the ECW game was 6 x 4, although we do play games on tables up to 12 x 6, depending on the number of us playing.
Thanks again
