Brush Strokes (Painting Rohirrim Cavalry Horses) October 2019

October 20, 2019 by Mel

It seems like an absolute age since I updated the Brush Strokes section of the blog so I can only apologise for not updating it sooner. I hope this post makes up for the long pause……….

So what has been going on since last time I wrote ? Well, lots but that is for another post.

Last time I was talking about the BIG project that was going on. Well, that has had to go on the back burner for a while as other things have taken priority. I will get back onto it but probably won’t be until after Christmas now……… omg, it’s that word….Christmas !!

Yep, it is nearing that time of year where the last minute panic of the Christmas game happens. The time where I spend every waking hour (well, when I’m not at work that is) furiously trying to paint up mini’s for whatever game we finally decide upon.  Well, we are so much more prepared this year. We had decided very early on that this year we are putting on a big Pelannor Fields game. We are all massive fans of Lord of the Rings and with the release in September 2018, the plans for the Christmas 2019 game were a forgone conclusion.

Wow, a whole year to prepare 🙂  and as normal here I am in October wondering if I will get it all done. Of course I will, even if I’m painting up until the night before the game (and it wouldn’t be the first time that’s happened!!). I have actually managed to get quite a lot done already and will show the photos of all shortly but for this post I wanted to link to the YouTube video we have uploaded today.

The video shows how I painted the Rohirim Cavalry ready for the Christmas game. I really enjoyed painting the cavalry and hope you enjoy the video.

As always please feel free to Like , Share and Comment on our platforms as we appreciate your support in our journey in this hobby.
